A historic agreement was reached last month between African business process outsourcing (BPO) provider CCI Global and Botswana's president, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, marking the company's entry into the country.

CCI Global said this is Botswana's first significant BPO partnership and establishes the nation as a key participant in Africa's booming outsourcing market.

The company stated that the new BPO hub will generate thousands of skilled job opportunities in data entry, customer support, IT services, and digital marketing, with an emphasis on helping Botswana's youth by offering them crucial experience and career growth in the booming digital economy.

It added that this project will make Botswana a competitive location for top-notch outsourcing services and enhance local skills.

Additionally, CCI Global's entry into Botswana is expected to spur substantial economic growth, which the company said will be aided by strong infrastructure development, government-backed incentives, and an atmosphere that is conducive to business.

The company commented: “With its stable political environment, highly educated and multilingual workforce, and competitive cost structure, Botswana presents significant advantages for BPO operations. Through this investment, CCI Global is positioning Botswana as a regional outsourcing leader, driving growth and innovation in the sector.”

Martin Roe, CEO of CCI Global, added: “This agreement represents a significant step in our commitment to driving economic growth in the region, creating valuable employment opportunities, and positioning Botswana as a leading hub for high-quality BPO services in Africa’s rapidly growing digital economy.”

President Boko reiterated the government's commitment to developing new industries and long-term jobs for Botswana's citizens.
