Data centre operator Raxio Group has appointed Dennis Kahindi as general manager for Uganda in Kampala, bolstering its executive team as demand surges for digital infrastructure driving cloud computing and artificial intelligence across East Africa.
Kahindi joins Raxio with over two decades of executive experience across Uganda’s technology and telecommunications sectors, having previously held senior leadership roles at Huawei, Microsoft, Oracle, Liquid Intelligent Technologies, and Airtel Uganda.
The appointment follows Raxio Group surpassing $380 million in committed capital to fund its African expansion, with Kahindi tasked with forging deeper sector partnerships as governments and enterprises increasingly treat advanced data centres as critical national infrastructure.
Raxio stated that the appointment reflects its ongoing commitment to investing in local leadership as it scales operations across Africa's fastest-growing digital markets.
“Dennis combines deep knowledge of the region’s technology landscape with a proven ability to build businesses, develop strong customer relationships, and lead high-performing teams,” said Robert Skjødt, CEO of Raxio Group.
“As demand for digital infrastructure continues to grow, Dennis’ leadership will help us deepen our partnerships and support Uganda’s next phase of digital development."
