African e-commerce website JUMIA Kenya announced that it has opened a new office in the East African nation.

In a statement the online retailer said that it is opening its newest office in Nakuru Town to serve the larger Rift Valley region.

JUMIA Kenya says the move to open a third hub comes on the back of a growing customer base in the region and the continued prosperity of the JUMIA Mombasa hub opened in September last year.

Parinaz Firozi, managing director at Jumia Kenya said, "We have been shipping products to our customers in Rift Valley all the way from Nairobi but with an office and warehouse in Nakuru, we will be able to provide a seamless experience besides creating job opportunities for the area."

Firozi added, "We are soon expanding to Eldoret and other towns in Kenya in our continued efforts to be physically close to our customers and to build strong relationships and opportunities."
