African e-commerce website JUMIA has expanded its presence in Nigeria.

Two years since first setting up shop in Nigeria, Jumia is now expanding its base into northern Nigeria.

In particular, JUMIA says it is expanding its operations to Kano in Nigeria.

“The majority of Nigeria’s population is in the North, with 10 states located in this region,” says the company in a statement.

Nicola Martin, the co-CEO of JUMIA Nigeria, says in a statement, “This expansion is one of many to come as we already have hub stations in nine other states.”

JUMIA is promising delivery time of up to two working days in the north and multiple payment options.

JUMIA is owned by Africa Internet Holding (AIH).
