US-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company InteLogix is entering Egypt with an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered delivery hub in New Cairo, as part of its expansion into international markets.

The launch was inaugurated by Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), alongside Mario Baddour, president and CEO of InteLogix, and Tarek Zeidan, vice-president of delivery for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and managing director of InteLogix Egypt, along with senior executives from both organisations.

According to ITIDA, the launch follows InteLogix's acquisition of Cairo-based Athear earlier this year, integrating the local firm into its global delivery network.

The deal offers a blueprint for multinational companies looking to scale existing local talent and provide AI-powered multilingual services to clients across different markets.

The move comes during a period of sustained growth for Egypt's IT export sector.

Offshoring export revenues reached $5.2 billion in 2025, supported by 252 export-oriented companies — 177 of them multinational — employing more than 195,000 professionals in export-focused operations across the country.

The Utah-headquartered firm's services will include customer experience management, BPO and IT services.

The Cairo operation complements InteLogix's existing global delivery network across the US, Canada, El Salvador and the Philippines.

The company has also equipped its headquarters with AI-powered platforms, in place from the outset to strengthen operational monitoring and deliver services to the US and European markets in six languages, including Arabic, Turkish, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese, ITIDA noted.

"Selecting Egypt as the location for launching the company's operations aligns with InteLogix's strategy of building an operational base to support international clients while expanding its presence in the Egyptian market," Baddour said, highlighting the strengths of Egyptian talent and language diversity in enabling the company to deliver specialised services to multiple markets.

"Companies are not making these decisions on the basis of a single advantage," said Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA. "They are looking at the depth of Egypt's talent pool, the breadth of its technical skills, its multilingual capabilities, scalability, operating costs and proximity to major markets."

He added that AI-powered hubs like this were shifting Egypt's offshoring industry toward higher-value, more advanced technological activities.

Over the next three years, InteLogix plans to expand its operations in Egypt and increase the export of services delivered from its Cairo centre, growing its workforce from approximately 135 employees today to 1,365, in line with its expansion strategy.
