Infobip has appointed Mirza Bukva as its new head of operator partnerships for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Infobip, a global cloud communications platform, has appointed Mirza Bukva as its new director of operator partnerships for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

According to the company, the leadership appointment is part of Infobip's strategy plan to strengthen relationships and innovation across EMEA.

Bukva will oversee the development and implementation of telecom partnership initiatives throughout the region, according to the company.

“His responsibilities include managing relationships with key operators, aligning Infobip’s solutions with evolving market needs, and driving revenue growth. He aims to leverage his extensive experience to foster long-term collaborations that create sustainable value for both Infobip and its partners,” said Infobip.

It went on to say Bukva is no stranger to the company and has garnered nearly a decade of experience at Infobip, during which he has held a number of leadership roles within the telecom partnerships department.

Infobip added: “His background includes serving as head of telecom partnerships for Africa, where he successfully improved connectivity optimisation, monetised telecom products, and managed high-stakes partnerships.”

Commenting on his appointment, Bukva said: :By prioritising strong relationships and aligning strategies with emerging industry trends like 5G infrastructure and fintech convergence, my goal will be to solidify Infobip’s position as a trusted partner in the telecom ecosystem.”

Infobip's chief commercial telecom officer, Matija Ražem, stated that the appointment aligns with the company's vision to strengthen its telco sector leadership through partnerships, driving digital transformation, and growth opportunities through solutions like Communications Platform as a Service and AI-driven customer engagement.
