South African financial institution, First National Bank (FNB), has launched an eWallet Money Magnet game on popular social network, Facebook.

The interactive game is set up as a competition which will run from July to the end of September, with daily cash prizes and monthly iPads also as rewards.

“FNB eWallet is a cutting edge product and it aptly lends itself to the social media platform,” says Yolande van Wyk, chief executive officer, FNB eWallet Solutions.

"We have decided to use a medium that is fun, interactive and popular, to create awareness and also to educate consumers about the ease of use and convenience of eWallet,” she added.

In order to play the game, participants need to ‘like’ the FNB Facebook page and click on the eWallet Money Magnet tab.

Participants can earn up to 1 000 bonus points by inviting their Facebook friends to play the game.

There are about 5 million active Facebook users in South Africa and FNB’s Facebook community is the largest social media audience of any of the local banks.
