Social networking firm Facebook has upgraded its Internet.org app by adding additional services for its Zambian users that includes information on the Ebola virus.
The Facebook Internet.org app was first launched in Zambia in July this year.
The app, which is free of charge, allows its users access employment and local information services.
And the three new services that consumers can access are 'Zambiareports', 'mobi.supersport.com', and Ebola Info by UNICEF.
"We've heard from consumers that they'd like to access more services, so we've added news, sports, and health information," says the statement.
"The update will be available to Airtel subscribers throughout the day," the statement adds.
The popular social network has embarked on its 'Internet.org' initiative to connect the two-thirds of the globe that does not have internet access.
Facebook says it hopes its Internet.org app will help make online services more accessible across the globe.
Last month, Facebook announced that it had a 100 million users in Africa.
