In a move to build a knowledge-based economy, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched the revamped Egypt Innovate platform, representing the nation’s first fully integrated national digital hub dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.

Developed and operated by a consortium led by Entlaq, in partnership with Robusta and Kamelizer, the platform was unveiled on the sidelines of the AI Everything Middle East and Africa Summit.

The event, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, drew representatives from over 30 countries, including global corporations, tech leaders, policymakers, and investors.

Egypt Innovate serves as a unified digital meeting point, bridging the gap between government policies and the private sector.

By connecting start-ups and investors with universities and the research community, it strengthens country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and enhances its regional and international competitiveness.

Egypt Innovate has over 81,000 registered users, including entrepreneurs, innovators, and ecosystem supporters, in addition to a network of more than 20 specialised experts forming the nucleus of an advisory community.

The platform operates under an Open Data model. This provides public access to verified information, facilitating seamless connections between entrepreneurs and support entities within a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Ahmed ElZaher, CEO of ITIDA, affirmed that the revamped tool is a milestone in the state’s mission to build an integrated ecosystem. He noted that leveraging data and technology is a cornerstone for achieving sustainable economic growth.

Key features include an AI-powered smart assistant designed to guide entrepreneurs and streamline access to opportunities.

ElZaher explained that the platform provides a dynamic database that showcases business models and technological value propositions.

He said this transparency allows entrepreneurs to attract local and international investment more effectively.

By accelerating the transformation of ideas into scalable ventures, the platform reinforces Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for information technology, according to ElZaher.

In an statement, ITIDA added: “The platform includes an integrated learning and development hub offering specialised training content, innovation tools, mentorship programmes, and virtual simulations. It also incorporates a talent-matching platform to support recruitment, mobility, and retention within the Egyptian market.”
