MTN Group's digital infrastructure subsidiary, Bayobab, is partnering with Seekr Technologies, a US-based artificial intelligence (AI) firm, to offer AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) to private and public sector institutions across Africa.

In a statement, Bayobab stated that the partnership is focused on opportunities for digital governance, citizen engagement, and public safety in the public sector, as well as unlocking AI-driven insights for financial services, logistics, and energy in the enterprise space, leveraging MTN Digital Infrastructure data centre investment programs.

MTN Digital Infrastructure stated that the SeekrFlow AIaaS platform will enable it to deploy and boost cost-effective AI models to augment enhance current and future digital and connectivity services.

It went on to say that integrating intelligent technologies across its digital infrastructure and services presents a significant opportunity for enterprise innovation and real digital progress.

“Our partnership with Seekr represents an important step in exploring the transformative potential of AI to accelerate Africa’s digital evolution. This collaboration unlocks new possibilities for scalable impact across both public and private sectors across the continent,” said Mazen Mroué, CEO of Bayobab.

Rob Clark, Seekr's president, noted that both parties will focus on bringing AI-enabled capabilities to business and government entities across Africa.

Both organisation’s commitment to customer-centric innovation makes this a natural partnership to unlock technology with the potential to deliver meaningful value to business and communities.”
