Africa’s start-up ecosystem will be strongly represented at the AfricArena Nairobi Climate Tech Summit 2025.
Africa’s start-up ecosystem will be strongly represented at the AfricArena Nairobi Climate Tech Summit 2025.

Africa’s thriving start-up ecosystem will be at the coalface of the AfricArena Nairobi Climate Tech Summit 2025 on 9 and 10 September, with a unique opportunity to pitch their businesses to influencers, venture capitalists and potential investors.

The two-day summit, hosted at the Nairobi Street Kitchen and Shamba Events on 9 and 10 September respectively, will feature pitches from across Africa in the ClimateTech sector, from seed to growth stage.

In addition to presentations from captains of industry – including a keynote presentation by Maelis Carraro, managing partner, Catalyst Fund about a green economy and AI – there are several pitch challenges or slots scheduled especially for start-ups.

These challenges have been organised into various categories or areas of focus, such as climate, cleantech, agritech, circular economy, as well as a reverse investor pitch.

As a business accelerator, AfricArena’s mandate is to help identify start-ups, many of which are tech-centric, that are able to embrace emerging technologies like hybrid cloud and AI.

In addition, AfricArena, in collaboration with GIZ SAIS and Enza Capital, has organised a venture capital evening, to encourage networking and interaction between investors, potential investors and start-ups.

The Nairobi Summit presents start-ups with a clear opportunity to pitch to would-be investors, to gain valuable exposure, and for delegates to familiarise themselves with disruptive technologies, and game-changing solutions.

Innovation based on emerging technologies to address socio-economic challenges is the underlying theme of the summit.
