Africa’s ClimateTech ecosystem will be up for review at the AfricArena Nairobi Summit 2025.

African tech ecosystem accelerator AfricArena looks forward to engaging delegates at the two-day ClimateTech Summit on 9-10 September 2025, with a focus on business operations within an AI-driven, green economy.

The Summit is one of six hybrid events being hosted across four regions in Africa, leading up to the annual AfricArena Summit in Cape Town in early December.

The Nairobi event will feature pitches from across Africa in the ClimateTech sector, from seed to growth stage, along with keynotes and panel discussions led by top business, tech, and investment experts in the region.

AfricArena has put together a full program featuring presentations from a host of experts in their respective fields.

They will present on topics that are front-of-mind for business leaders who are tasked with navigating sustainable operations that adhere to environmental regulation and capitalise on emerging technologies.

Moreover, several panel discussions have been organised to cover issues such as the state of climate finance in Africa, climate-smart agriculture, de-risking climate tech, women leading the climate tech challenges, as well as scaling circular economy in Africa.

Start-up focus

As Africa’s premier deal flow platform and ecosystem accelerator, AfricArena places a premium on support for technology start-ups. It has facilitated over $900 million in investment transactions since 2017.

The company has organised several pitch challenges that serve as a platform for start-ups to pitch their business models, services and solutions.

Competitors will participate in various challenges organised for start-ups that focus on fields like climate, agritech, cleantech, circular economy, and specialised sessions under the headings reverse investor and agnostic track.

The Nairobi Summit presents start-ups with a clear opportunity to pitch to would-be investors, to gain valuable exposure, and for delegates to familiarise themselves with disruptive technologies, and game-changing solutions.
