This hackathon will be one of the highlights of Securexpo East Africa, which takes place from October 15 to 17 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The summit will bring together individuals from all around the area to tackle complex cyber security concerns in a competitive and collaborative setting.

The SecureTech East Africa Cyber Challenge received a boost when LAB Information Technology Incorporated (LABUSA), an IT and cyber security solutions company, confirmed sponsorship of the event.

As part of its commitment to promoting innovation and supporting the cyber security community, the firm announced that the winner of the hackathon would be offered a paid internship with the company.

This opportunity will allow the recipient to obtain practical experience, collaborate with industry professionals, and contribute to real-world cyber security projects.

After successfully completing the internship, the intern may be offered a position with LABUSA, which is headquartered in the United States.

“This competition is a great platform for aspiring IT professionals to exhibit their skills and gain invaluable experience. We look forward to welcoming the hackathon winner to our team,” LABUSA president, Martin Laster, said.

LABUSA feels that the sponsorship demonstrates its commitment to boosting cyber security education and professional growth in Africa.
