The Africa Tech Festival has announced top industry experts to address the most pressing issues and opportunities facing the continent’s digital economy

Set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 10 to 13, 2025, the festival will be guided by an influential group of leaders from the continent’s technology, business, and investment sectors.

James Williams, event director of Africa Tech Festival, stressed that the newly formed Leadership Council will play a crucial role in shaping the event’s agenda.

The council comprises a diverse group of professionals from leading organisations, including Brelotte Ba, deputy CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa; Antoinette Kwofie, CFO of MTN Ghana; and Charles Murito, regional director at Google.

“Africa Tech Festival serves as a platform for connection, collaboration, and innovation across the continent. With the guidance of our Leadership Council, we will continue to curate an event that drives impactful conversations, supports industry growth, and fosters Africa’s position as a global technology leader,” said Williams.

Other notable members roped in include Bunmi Adeleye, chief strategy officer at Retail Supermarkets Nigeria (Shoprite Nigeria), and Faith Burn, CIO of Eskom. 

Top executives from influential companies such as Standard Bank, Microsoft Africa, and Telkom SA are also part of the council. 

These leaders will provide strategic guidance on issues such as connectivity, artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, and the future of digital infrastructure in Africa.
