Paratus Group opens in Tanzania

Paratus Kenya has been formed through a joint venture with Nairobi-based IT and ISP company, MoveOn Telecoms.

This strategic East-West route bolsters the Paratus regional network infrastructure and provides reliable, low-latency connectivity across southern Africa.

The Paratus Express Route provides the fastest connectivity between Johannesburg and Europe, with a latency of 123 milliseconds, the company says.

Using Infinera FlexILS and GX Series DWDM equipment, latency on the new route is 123 milliseconds and the Infinera equipment can support wavelengths of up to 800Gb.

Paratus will become a reseller for the connectivity services in Mozambique, Kenya, Rwanda, and Nigeria, before expanding to additional nations.
