HP to use tech to re-invent workplace experience
HP president of technology and innovation Tuan Tran states that during the next 12 to 36 months, the US tech giant will focus on solutions that improve, rather than replace, the human experience in the workplace.
During his recent speech at HP's annual Amplify partner programme in Nashville, Tennessee, Tuan focused on the company's future objectives, including the development of more smart connected devices and personalised AI agents that will reinvent the work experience.
Tuan also discussed the company's developments, which included HP's “extensive” artificial intelligence (AI) portfolio, emphasising seamless connectivity, AI-infused devices and improved data utilisation as the three pillars of the AI strategy.
“You have heard a lot about how HP is harnessing AI across our portfolio, and my job is the transition between what we have today to give you a glimpse of what we are going to be working on over the next 12 to 36 months,” he said.
“AI is evolving so quickly and there is so much going on. AI is being written now, moment to moment. It’s hard to predict where this is going, but at HP, we believe the way to pick the future is to help create it.
“That’s what we are going to be talking about and how we want to create this future, to reinvent the future of work for our customers. We believe we have the broadest portfolio; we have the most innovative portfolio, and more importantly, we have a very distinct point of view. We are all about using technology to enhance human experience.”
Tran added: “We believe that AI interaction needs to be meaningful. Our decisions based on AI need to be thoughtful; our work needs to be more purposeful.”
In conclusion, he told the conference that HP will enable the technology, but needs partners to implement in verticals. Tran noted that he believes success requires deep understanding of customer use cases, data and security needs. He urged companies to transform how people work through partnerships.
