Zim-based Dandemutande appoints new CEO

Zimbabwe based broadband internet service provider Dandemutande has announced the appointment of Nhena Nyagura as Chief Executive Officer. Nyagura will lead the business after a Board meeting where his new position was ratified. Dandemutande merged with iWayAfrica Zimbabwe and Africa Online in 2015.

Tunde Akerele, Chairman of the Dandemutande Board described Nyagura favourably.

"Nhena is a phenomenal leader who brings passion, focus, innovation and a willingness to lead from the front. I look forward to working with Nhena, the rest of the Board and the management team as he takes the business to the next level".

Nyagura more than 18 years' experience in the technology industry which he gained in Zimbabwe and in the USA. He was previously the Head of Business for iWayAfrica and Acting Regional Manager for Africa Online.

Dandemutande also revealed that current Chief Financial Officer Never Ncube, will remain in his position, while Douglas Chitongo, who was previously Senior Technical Manager at iWayAfrica Zimbabwe, takes over as Head of Technical Services from one of the founding members of Dandemutande, Colin Franco who has retired after 17 years. Founding shareholder of Dandemutande Varley Rowell has been appointed to the role of Chief Administration Officer.

Nyagura commended the new appointees to leadership roles at Dandemutande.
