Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software leader, SYSPRO, was recently honoured with the ‘OEM Partner of the Year' award at SAP's Africa Partner Awards 2014.

SYSPRO financial director, Rodney Marais, accepted the award on behalf of the company. "It is a privilege to be recognised as SAP's most outstanding partner in the OEM category. SAP uses these awards to acknowledge partners that have excelled in building a relationship with them, in assisting their customers to boost their productivity and in increasing their respective revenues in Africa."

SAP selects its winners based on four factors, namely co-innovation, market expansion, service delivery and sustainability.

African partners

The SAP-SYSPRO partnership came about as a result of Crystal Reports, which is incorporated in the SYSPRO Reporting Services (SRS) offering. SRS provides high-quality financial and operational reports and documents, together with visual analysis capabilities.

"It provides the flexibility for designing reports to most requirements and utilises the extensive power of Crystal Reports," explains Marais.

SRS allows – amongst other features – quick and easy access to information, fast and efficient retrieval of report history and archived reports, dynamic chart and analysis capabilities, protected and secure access, and the tailoring of any standard SYSPRO report to match a client's requirements.

Outstanding solutions

SAP bought Business Objects and Crystal Reporting in an effort to combine its business transaction knowledge with business analytics tools. As a result of this acquisition, SYSPRO and SAP became partners in Africa.
