Zambia is stepping up efforts to provide its youth with the skills to register and access government services through the ZamPortal, among other digital tools.

The ZamPortal is a public government website that serves as an electronic services directory, bringing together all of Zambia's public services that are available to residents.

Joyce Mushiko, principal ICT officer at Smart Zambia, stated that the program, which took place last week, drew 150 youth participants who learnt critical digital literacy skills.

This initiative is part of the government's efforts to close the digital gap and provide the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital environment.

Last week, the SMART Zambia Southern Province ICT section held the Youth Workshop on the Zamportal at St. Mawagari Trade School in Choma District.
