Liquid Telecom SA partners Qorus to strengthen channel partner pgm

Liquid Telecom South Africa has partnered with Qorus, a sales and marketing enablement platform, to enable cloud channel partners to locate, create, collaborate and track sales content.

According to Liquid Telecom, the Qorus software includes a full complement of Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) information and is used to build marketing assets and market-ready sales proposals by accessing formation directly from Office applications.

Winston Ritson, Group Head of Cloud Services for Liquid Telecom says, "Qorus Content Hub is a highly intuitive, incredibly powerful system that integrates across Microsoft Office 365 applications and major Customer Relationship Management platforms (CRMs). This technology is a must-have for our channel partners to remain competitive and also kick-start 2020 with ambitious growth plans."

Liquid says it decided to partner with Qorus following a successful internal trial of the software.

"Our channel managers were particularly impressed at the speed and ease at which they could access a centralised repository of recent sales and marketing activity," continues Ritson. "Based on our positive experience of Qorus, we want to ensure our partners also enjoy the many benefits with some of the most flexible, reliable and secure communication solutions now available to them in Africa."

Lee Child, Co-Founder and Managing Director of EMEA for Qorus Software, adds, "We are thrilled to have Liquid Telecom and its partners on board. Our goal is to help partners get to market faster and close more deals using our intelligent, intuitive software solution."

Liquid Telecom invests on the continent where it operates Africa's largest independent fibre network, spanning almost 70,000km.

In October 2019 Liquid Telecom confirmed it had completed a rip-and-replace of its network, including regionalised redundancy to ensure continued service and overcome network interruptions.

In November 2019, at AfricaCom in Cape Town, South Africa, the company announced the launch of what it claimed to be "the fastest direct land-based fibre link connecting East to West Africa."

Chief executive officer Nic Rudnick added that DRC is a priority market.

"We see we see significant numbers of unconnected people... we're building fibre through cities where satellite remains the only way to get connectivity. By linking the DRC to Liquid Telecom's rapidly expanding pan-African fibre network and the rest of the world, this transformative infrastructure is creating a foundation for digital growth. Fast, reliable broadband connectivity will advance society, fuel innovation and help champion pan-Africa trade."
