Rwanda supports Africa's digital transformation

Rwanda has vowed to support the Timbuktoo Africa Innovation Foundation, an effort aimed at accelerating the continent's digital development.

Paula Ingabire, minister of information and communications technology and Innovation, made the pledge during the just concluded high-level meeting on the Timbuktoo Africa Innovation Initiative.

"The Timbuktoo Africa Innovation Foundation is not just another project," she stated.

She went to say: "It is a visionary endeavour designed to transform the African innovation landscape cantering young people in the economic development of Africa. By establishing world-class innovation hubs and unlocking venture capital across the continent, we aim to create a fertile environment where our brightest minds can thrive, innovate, and contribute to the global digital economy."
