FNB's banking app was previously only available on devices running on Apple, Android and BlackBerry smart device operating systems.
Giuseppe Virgillito, head of banking app at FNB Mobile and Connect said, “The FNB banking app is now available across all the major operating systems, meaning that users of iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, BlackBerry smartphones and now Windows (Phone) 8 smartphones and tablets now also have access to the FNB Banking App.”
“We have an ongoing development timeline on the banking app and will continue to bring innovations to our customers to ensure the best banking app experience,” Virgillito added.
The South African bank has also said that its rewards programme eBucks would be available on the banking app.
The addition of eBucks on the app provides a host of new functionality such locating the nearest eBucks partner, viewing reward levels, account balances, discount levels and more, said the bank.
