VMware looks to channel added value with new VP for EMEA region

VMware has appointed Petra Heinrich Liedtke as Vice President, Partner & Commercial business, EMEA at VMware.

According to a statement released by the cloud computing and virtualisation tech firm Heinrich Liedtke will lead a 500-strong organisation, responsible for enabling VMware’s highly developed ecosystem of partners with the digital foundation to deliver modernised applications and multi-cloud to customers.

The company added that customers are seeking business outcomes through their digital transformation, and Heinrich Liedtke will collaborate with these partners “to enhance their business models and unlock their capabilities through VMware’s solutions and services.”

VMware said Heinrich Liedtke brings with her deep channel expertise, with more than 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently as Vice President of Partner and Product Sales EMEA at Red Hat.

“She has a strong-track record of building robust and successful partner ecosystems, empowering partners as they guide organisations on their digital transformation journeys. She has also held senior positions at Open-Xchange and SuSE Linux/Novell,” reads part of the statement.
