Kenyan based Mayfox Mining has become the first mining company in East Africa to implement Sage ERP X3 software.
This is according to a press announcement this week that outlines how Mayfox Mining, an indigenous Kenyan-owned gold exploration company, has signed solutions provider Wingo.net to install the enterprise resource planning software at the company.
Sage says the move comes as Mayfox plans to list on the Nairobi Stock Exchange’s ‘Growth Enterprise Market Segment’ (GEMS) by the end of the year to help fund exploration in northern Turkana County.
“The solution demonstrates Maxfox’s commitment to accountability and tight cost control to future shareholders and investors. It will also provide management with critical real-time information for fast and responsive decision-making,” says the Sage statement.
Keith Fenner, senior vice president sales for Sage ERP X3 AAMEA (Africa, Australia, the Middle East and Asia), said in a statement: “We are excited to have clinched this important deal with our first mining customer in East Africa.”
