Indian software firm Aurionpro inks Kenya Co-Operative Bank deal
Kenya's Co-Operative Bank has selected technology company Aurionpro's iCashPro internet banking solution in a bid to provide improved online services to its customers.
Headquartered in Mumbai, India Aurionpro develops software platforms and delivers consulting services to its clients.
According to a company statement, the new internet banking solution is geared to improve the bank's electronic payments and fund transfers, as well as online statements and reporting capabilities.
The solution is also expected to extend the bank's reach, bringing banking closer to the Kenyan people, reads the statement.
"We expect to see increased competition in all market segments but, with the help of Aurionpro, we look forward to growing our market share," said Sheila Okiro, chief manager for electronic banking at Co-operative Bank of Kenya.
Okiro added, "The new services we will deliver with iCashPro will continue to advance our vision of financially empowering Kenyans by supporting the co-operative movement."
Commenting on the partnership Kashmira Bhayani, president of banking South Asia at Aurionpro said,"We are proud of our association with the Co-operative Bank of Kenya and are committed to delivering a state-of-the-art technology platform that will provide their customers with convenient access to services through multiple channels."
