Security giant McAfee and IT distributor Ingram Micro have expanded their global relationship in a move the companies say builds on the transformation of McAfee’s channel program.

The expanded agreement will provide access to McAfee products and solutions across Ingram Micro’s global distribution network, including its regional Cloud Marketplaces and Centers of Excellence.

McAfee debuted its SaaS portfolio on the US Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace late last year, and says it plans to grow its footprint on the distributor’s network of e-commerce platforms throughout 2021.

Both organisations say they understand the opportunity and impact of cloud transformation happening within the channel landscape, and are offering McAfee Device to Cloud Suites designed to help companies accelerate cloud adoption.

Moreover, Ingram Micro is expanding its services capabilities with McAfee to provide migration services to move from legacy security technology to McAfee MVISION products.

Kathleen Curry, senior VP of global enterprise channels, OEM & strategic alliances at McAfee, says: “Our expanded relationship with Ingram Micro will help build on the transformation that McAfee has been driving and enable our organisations to reach a larger set of customers around the world in need of security protection.”

Scott Zahl, executive director, global partner enablement at Ingram Micro says the partnership will provide their mutual channel partners with access to a trusted cyber security solution portfolio and top channel programs.

According to the companies, it will be easier for channel partners to buy McAfee products and solutions through Ingram Micro, and partners will be able to see them in Ingram Micro Centers of Excellence around the world.
