Survey examines state of digital transformation in Africa

Ghana , Nigeria , 17 Jul 2020

Where are African organisations at with their digitisation projects and how are they securing their data in the cloud?

Businesses that are harnessing the benefits of the cloud are able to digitally transform and modernise their IT infrastructure in ways that enable them to innovate, improve operations, processes and services, and enhance their customer experience.

However, while it is clear that cloud is crucial to business survival, it also comes hand-in-hand with a wide range of new cyber security threats and risks for companies.

Africa, in particular, has witnessed a recent boom in cloud computing demand, and alongside it, a growing need for powerful cyber security solutions to manage the associated risks.

ITWeb and ITWeb Africa, in partnership with F5 and TigerLogic, are conducting a Digital Transformation Survey to find out where African organisations are in terms of managing and securing their data in the cloud.

In this survey, we examine, among other things:

  1. Which technologies will be strategically important for organisations in the next two to five years;
  2. How business and IT decision makers are deciding on cloud options;
  3. Which applications are most likely to operate in a cloud, and how organisations are managing and securing their applications;
  4. What benefits are organisations hoping to gain from their digital transformation projects;
  5. Where they are feeling the ‘skills gap’ pinch.

The detailed results of the survey, based on anonymised data, will be published on ITWeb and ITWeb Africa. By completing the questionnaire, you’ll contribute towards this exclusive research, and stand a chance to win a $175 Amazon or a R3 000 Takelot voucher.
