Cameroon's trade ministry has launched a new digital platform aimed at dematerialising the processes for authorising and collecting non-tax revenues. 

According to government officials, the project aims to simplify administrative processes for users while also improving the security of public finances.

"Citizens and businesses can now make payments online without the need for physical visits," the ministry said in a statement.

The platform also simplifies administrative tasks such as paying for services and downloading certified documents.

So far, the government has adopted digital platforms in numerous departments to ease user operations while increasing transaction transparency and traceability.

The government intends to decrease bureaucratic barriers, boost revenue collection, and promote transparency through the use of technology, all of which are expected to contribute considerably to the expansion of the digital economy.
