Siemens Healthineers appoints Vivek Kanade to lead MEA
Medical technology firm Siemens Healthineers has named Vivek Kanade as the next president of the company's Middle East and Africa (MEA) business.
According to the company, the appointment follows the company's intention to unify its operations across the Middle East and the African continent to better meet the different demands of healthcare providers and communities.
Kanade is a Siemens insider with over thirty years of experience in the firm spanning several countries and functions.
Having formerly served as the company's head of strategy for the Asia Pacific Japan region, Kanade was also the head of Siemens Healthineers for India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and the Maldives.
Kanade said: "This structural consolidation enables us to pool our strengths in following our core objectives, which include enhancing access to care and paving the way for better healthcare infrastructures in our markets."
He added: "We're focusing on projects that are first and foremost scalable and fit our strategy, while making an impact on local communities, by untapping new markets, capacity building and ensuring community reach."
