Techforward, a non-profit organisation that uses technology to improve learning and C-Sema, a non-profit that protects children's rights, are working together to improve child internet safety and promote digital literacy in Tanzania.

According to Techforward, the partnership's goal is to build safer digital places and provide youths with the information and resources they need to succeed in the digital world.

Elias Patrick, executive director of Techforward, and Kiiya Joel, CEO of C-Sema, signed a formal agreement in Dar es Salaam this week to solidify the relationship between the two non-profit organisations.

The representatives were quoted by The Citizen highlighting the importance of online safety for children in digital spaces while enabling them to leverage technology for learning.

Elias Patrick said: “This partnership address a critical challenge-ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the digital world. We will work together to equip youth with skills for a successful future while ensuring a safe online environment.”

For Kiiya Joel, the partnership conveys a message to protect children against the dangers of digital spaces.

“Through this collaboration, we amplify efforts to protect children and help them utilise technology for learning for growth”, he said.
