Nutanix to go deeper into Africa
Hybrid multi-cloud software vendor, Nutanix, has said that it aims to increase investments in Africa to cater for rising demand for its services on the continent.
The firm is upbeat about the prospects the region presents and recently appointed Sven Schoenaerts, as channel head for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He said: “Africa is one of the emerging markets with most potential. We have a presence in most of the major countries and are investing more to meet the market potential, especially in countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia and South Africa.”
Schoenaerts said Nutanix was seeing strong demand for its solutions and would work with local channel partners to further grow the market.
“We are seeing big potential in some of the key countries in Africa and will continue to focus on customer success and invest and develop our partners and ecosystem to be true Nutanix advocates in the market,” he said.
“In the long term, we would like to drive incremental growth with focus on new logos and expansion, helping our customers through the journey of hybrid multi-cloud,” he said.
Nutanix is one of a handful of companies that have been keen to seize the momentum resulting from market confusion because of VMware’s acquisition by Broadcom.
Schoenaerts has been with Nutanix since 2022 and assumed his current role in August.
