Deel, an HR platform for global teams, has announced Deel IQ, an AI-powered global work assistant.

The company says Deel IQ helps employers prevent missteps when it comes to global hiring and employee management.

Deel IQ is powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT and includes access to the company’s global knowledge base, which it says is informed by a 200-person in-house team of global HR professionals and lawyers.

This, it said, empowers Deel IQ to transform any organisation into a global HR expert by providing a single source of compliance information.

It said: “Businesses who use Deel IQ may access precise information on local laws and best practices in over 150 countries across the world, leveraging Deel's knowledgebase to assist ensure regulatory compliance for all of their employees, regardless of where they live. “

Ronny Levitan, Deel's South African head said: "Now, all business leaders and HR teams need to do is ask the relevant questions, and they can tap into the information they need to make well-informed hiring decisions.”

Additionally, the company said, employers can also use Deel IQ to garner fast, actionable data points, such as total employee-related costs or number of employees in particular skill areas.

According to Deel, drawing upon such workforce data, businesses can generate instant reports to gain valuable insights about their teams, without having to rely on manual spreadsheet-based reporting processes.
