Tano Digital Solutions, a pan-African technology services provider, revealed yesterday that it has expanded its operations into Kenya.

The company describes this move as a crucial milestone in its aim to become a “force for digital trust” across Africa.

Tano has been on a growth track since 2023, when it acquired the Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed Altron operations in Botswana and Mozambique.

During his remarks at the official Kenyan launch, held in Nairobi yesterday, Wallen Mangere, CEO of Tano Digital Solutions, reiterated the company’s plans for expansion across the continent.

He said: “This is a big step forward in our aim to become a leading force for digital trust across Africa, and now includes physical presences in Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Kenya."

Mangere stated that Tano Digital’s expansion into Kenya was part of a long-term investment in the country’s digital ecosystem.

He told the delegates that the company's IT solutions that will be offered in the Kenyan market include cloud security management, data protection, firewall security management, telematics devices, Splunk, AWS solutions, and Check Point security software.

“We are committed to continuously expanding our solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Kenyan market,” he said.

The company also committed to investing in the Kenyan workforce, saying its success hinges on the local talent and expertise of its team.

Mangere said: “We are actively recruiting and investing in Kenyan professionals, fostering a culture of innovation. We believe in empowering the Kenyan youth, and we are committed to providing training and development opportunities to prepare them for successful careers in the digital world.”
