Telecom Egypt selects Mada Communications as its preferred partner for international SMS services.

Telecom Egypt announced yesterday that it has concluded a multi-year agreement with Mada Communications (Mada), a telecom solutions provider, to serve as its preferred international SMS service provider.

Mada's considerable knowledge, exemplary partnerships with both local and international institutions, and strong security and protection procedures, according to the firm, influenced this decision.

Furthermore, the telco said Mada's significant platform adaptability and easy interaction with Telecom Egypt's current systems were important factors in this decision.

Mada is a global telecom solutions provider with offices in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. It says it works with more than 250 million clients in 195 countries.

Its services include voice, messaging, data, billing, fintech services, cyber security, digital transformation, and professional and managed services.

According to the Telecom Egypt deal, Mada will be handling all International Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging services, including but not limited to two-factor authentication and automated notifications.

The partnership allows Telecom Egypt to use Mada's capabilities to provide a better experience to its growing client base while also increasing A2P messaging revenues, according to the business.

Mohamed Nasr, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Egypt, commented that given Mada's extensive expertise as an A2P provider in the Middle East and North Africa region, the joint cooperation reinforces the company's commitment to promoting best business practices and expanding its business scope, which will contribute to achieving sustainable revenue growth and delivering added value to customers.

For Charles Hage, CEO of Mada, being chosen as the preferred carrier for Telecom Egypt's A2P communications is significant since it reflects his team's skills.

He said: “Being chosen by such a major player in the industry is a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation. A special thanks to both the Telecom Egypt and Mada teams for their hard work and dedication in making this partnership possible. We look forward to furthering our cooperation with Telecom Egypt across multiple fronts and bringing exceptional value to their messaging services."
