Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has been selected by intelligence-led security company FireEye as an official distributor for South Africa and the SADC region. The appointment will see DCC distributing the entire range of FireEye offerings, including its Mandiant Threat Intelligence.

The appointment falls in line with DCC’s current go-to-market strategy which sees the distributor working with vendors offering exceptional products that meet the immediate needs of the channel.

“A key element of our agreement with FireEye is further developing their regional channel; fostering relationships with prominent resellers and ensuring that the company’s comprehensive suite of security products reach end users that require robust solutions in the time of 4IR proliferation,” says Fred Mitchell, division manager: software solutions at DCC.

Gordon Love, Vice-President of MEA at FireEye, adds: “Looking at our channel strategy, we required a distributor that had the local relationships and technical expertise, DCC meets both of these requirements. We look forward to growing our channel and believe DCC will play a vital role in this.”

A differentiating part of the FireEye value proposition to the channel is its Mandiant Threat Intelligence portfolio.

According to the company, this offers a range of intelligence subscriptions and services that provide organisations with the visibility and actionable insights to protect their assets including: intelligence subscriptions, intelligence enablement, intelligence capability development, digital threat monitoring, and advanced intelligence access.
