The Founders Cartel, a coalition of South Africa's promising start-ups, has emerged with the goal of transforming the local and global start-up ecosystems.

The cartel aims to enable the group's founders to share best practices and information, conduct business, and coordinate their efforts in chasing prospects.

The coalition also intends to bring prominent local and international start-up ecosystem actors into the fold.

Start-Ups Acalytica, Amari Health, FinanceGPT Labs, Fixxr, Jozi Cloud Kitchens, Level Finance, MLX Ventures, RealPPE Marketplace, Rizepreneur, and Welo Health are all members of the consortium.

Edzai Zvobgo, founder of Acalytica, describes the coalition's rationale: "The Founders Cartel is more than just a collection of firms; it is a movement dedicated to encouraging collaboration and innovation. By sharing best practices and experience, these start-ups not only position themselves for success, but also help to expand and strengthen the South African start-up ecosystem."

He added, "The cartel tries to consolidate efforts in chasing new prospects, thereby maximising the chance for success. Furthermore, by adding prominent local and worldwide startup ecosystem actors into its network, the Founders Cartel intends to establish a robust platform for growth and expansion."

Looking ahead, the alliance stated its members are dedicated to innovation and quality. They represent the future of South African entrepreneurship and aim to make an impact both locally and globally.
