Bitflux taps Alepo to go wholesale on LTE
Nigeria's only wholesale communications service provider, Bitflux launched the country's first wholesale LTE services in partnership with core network and IT software solutions provider Alepo.
The new wholesale LTE data services run on Alepo's advanced policy and charging control, convergent charging and billing, and CRM platform.
Leveraging Alepo's core LTE solution, Bitflux has now emerged as a mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) to support multiple MVNO operations on a single, hosted platform.
Bitflux has promised locals a faster internet user experience than what 4G LTE offers, and the company believes the country has "immense potential" for this level of connectivity, considering its population size.
It has confirmed its intention to advance Nigeria's National Broadband Plan and accelerate the development of LTE technology innovation by working closely with Alepo as its strategic "All Things Data" technology partner.
Biodun Omoniyi, Director at Bitflux Communications Ltd. said, "With Alepo as our technology partner, we are able to offer a range of wireless services that are in tune with the demands of our customers and that will enable us to remain a market leader in this domain."
"We are proud to be associated with Bitflux to launch a wholesale LTE network in Nigeria," said Shivani Sardesai, Director for Africa region at Alepo. "As Bitflux looks forward to a smooth and fast-performing LTE network infrastructure, Alepo assures to deliver the most advanced BSS/OSS platform that guarantees an amazing customer experience."
In a statement Alepo added that through the partnership it will have access to a proven, end-to-end 4G LTE solution.
"The pre-integrated solution provides Bitflux a sophisticated service creation environment, enabling a rapid time to market while maintaining a low total cost of ownership," the company stated.
