Check Point, a multinational software provider, has launched a new partner programme in response to the evolving cyber security scene.

The artificial intelligence-powered, cloud-delivered cyber security platform provider expects the project to boost partner capabilities and drive growth, according to Check Point.

“Check Point's partnership engagement and encourages partners to develop specialised expertise, adding more value to their services.

“It also provides easier access to essential tools and resources, improving operational efficiency for partners,” said Francisco Criado, Check Point's vice president of Global Partner Ecosystem Organisation.

“In light of the current climate and increasing rate of cyber threats, we are launching a new, partner programme to help our partners accelerate their efforts in providing the best cyber security.”

The programme was welcomed by partners across the continent.

Check Point's updated partner programme represents a strategy change towards simplicity and partner empowerment, according to George Charal, CEO of ReportStar Technologies, a South African-based IT company.

Vincent Milewa, managing director, Down To Earth Technologies in Kenya, said, “We also have the opportunity to train and upskill more of our engineers on the base level solutions. As cybersecurity becomes more critical in organisations, we believe such a move will empower both ourselves as well as our customers.”
