Nominations are now open for the Satellite Industry Leader Awards #SILAwards

The 3rd Global SatShow is calling on the satellite industry to make nominations for this year's Satellite Industry Leader Awards. Taking place on 8-9 November in Istanbul, Turkey, the 3rd Global SatShow is an annual conference, awards and exhibition. Dedicated to the satellite industry, the tradeshow also encompasses space technologies, broadcast, telecommunications and IT/ITC. The multi-sector show will be awarding companies and individuals for their outstanding achievements made in the industry they serve.

The accolades, known as SIL Awards, are to honour the companies, innovations, personalities and achievements that are shaping the market and bettering the world. The five award categories include Satellite Operator of the Year; Disruptive Innovator; Industry Influencer of the Year; Satellite Business of the Year; and Satellite Humanitarian of the Year. The winners of this year will receive the awards during a prestigious ceremony on the final day of the show.

Companies and individuals are able to nominate themselves. Nominations can be easily made by contacting the Global SatShow's management team.

Last year's award winners were Es'hailSat for Satellite Operator of the Year; Intelsat for Disruptive Innovator; Aarti Holla, Secretary General of the EMEA Satellite Operators Association (ESOA), for Industry Influencer of the Year; TurkSat for Satellite Business of the Year; and Thuraya Telecommunications Company for Satellite Humanitarian of the Year. The winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges comprising analysts, researchers and journalists.

The 3rd Global SatShow will again be held at Haliç Congress Center, a glamorous venue complemented by a picturesque riverside backdrop, setting a new standard in satellite tradeshows. In addition to the SIL Awards ceremony, highlights at this year's show include the conference session on 5G and spectrum sharing, and the renowned CEO Summit, which is expected to once again draw a full house.
