4Sight acquires HR specialist XFour to speed up innovation

As African businesses race to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI), 4Sight Holdings, a South African-born global technology business, has announced a $2.2 million (R40m) acquisition of XFour Group, a specialist in HR and payroll technology integration.

The move, 4Sight says, reflects the rising convergence of AI and  human resource management, which will boost its People Solutions division, giving it a competitive edge in the market.

XFour’s interface is designed for Sage 300 People, providing cloud-based processing while maintaining local responsiveness and user experience.

Also, it brings expertise to enterprise projects, saying it has proven methodology and a dedicated resource model that has helped it successfully implement solutions at multiple tier 1 clients with workforces of over 10,000.

Moreover, XFour provides continuous support and maintenance to guarantee its clients' long-term success.

The Centurion-headquartered 4Sight went on to say the acquisition not only improves its position in the digital transformation arena, but it also represents the company's strategic goal of reshaping the HR environment through advanced AI and automation.

The company is confident that with operations in over 20 African countries and a track record tackling enterprise challenges, XFour is poised to turbocharge 4Sight's People Solutions business, unlocking new levels of growth, innovation, and client value in the fast-changing world of work.

Tertius Zitzke, Group CEO of 4Sight Holdings, announced the acquisition today, saying: “XFour brings a wealth of young and dynamic talent, innovation, and proven specialisation to the table.”

Founded in 2017 by Clark Fourie, Jaco Smit and Shaun O'Reilly, XFour is also South African business specialising in integrating and optimising HR and payroll systems.

“Joining the 4Sight family marks an exciting new chapter for XFour Solutions….Together, we will unlock new opportunities for our customers, offering them access to a broader suite of digital transformation solutions and services,” says Clark Fourie, financial director of XFour.

XFour’s in-house product suite includes:

• RocketSlip – A lightweight, mobile-first employee self-service solution that leverages platforms like WhatsApp to simplify day-to-day HR interactions.

• XOne – A highly configurable platform for on boarding, timesheet management, and off boarding, built for seamless integration and scalability in modern work environments.

In a statement, the company says the deal marks a significant milestone in 4Sight’s long-term growth strategy to deliver innovative solutions that help companies digitally transform into the realm of industry 5.0.

It went on to say the acquisition will help accelerate 4Sight’s growth by deepening its portfolio of enterprise HR technologies within its People Solutions business while unlocking synergies between XFour’s modern intellectual property in the HR and payroll arena and its extensive experience in delivering HR solutions.
