Network connectivity boost for Africa

Level 3 Communications has partnered with South African fibre-based connectivity services provider, Workonline Communications, to offer enhanced network connectivity in Africa.

A Fortune 500 company, Level 3 Communications provides local, national and global communications services to enterprise, government and carrier customers.

According to a statement the partnership will see Workonline provide seamless connectivity to its customers outside South Africa via Level 3’s global network.

Meanwhile, Level 3 would be able to access new network opportunities provided by Workonline especially in metro areas in the Africa region, the statement added.

Edward Lawrence, commercial director at Workonline said, “Our goal is to provide our clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions on a global scale, whilst maintaining the highest standards of design, build and deployment.”

Lawrence added, “By collaborating with Level 3, we will be able to improve our ability to provide our clients in the Africa region with further connectivity into key markets in Europe, North America and globally.”

Jos Martens, director, EMEA Growth Programs at Level 3 stated, “By utilising Workonline’s network connectivity, particularly in metro areas in South Africa, we have a very cost-effective and reliable access partner to serve our customers’ main economic centres in South Africa."
