South Africa to host second Africa fintech forum

The second Africa Fintech Forum is set to take place next month in Johannesburg, South Africa.

BII Global, the event's organiser, disclosed that it will take place in February.

Farzana Badat, Deputy Commissioner of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, is scheduled to present at the event. 

This Forum promotes South Africa's fintech vision and serves as a driving force in positioning the country as a regional leader in adopting digital technologies in the finance sector, fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth.

The event will be themed "Driving Africa's Fintech Revolution."

"The agenda covers a range of pressing topics, including the transformation of digital banking, the rise of blockchain and AI in financial services, building an agile workforce, and strategies for fostering sustainable growth in the African fintech sector," said Mia Adriaens, the spokesperson for the organisers.

The event is expected to draw industry executives and significant corporate figures.

This year's forum will also emphasise the importance of gender inclusiveness in financial technology, celebrating the achievements of women who are pushing change in the field.
