Yango Group opens continental headquarters in Côte d’Ivoire

Almost seven years after establishing its first African operations in Côte d’Ivoire, technology company, Yango Group, has opened a new office in the country’s largest city, Abidjan, which is set to serve as its continental headquarters.

From the new hub, the company will coordinate its operations across the continent. It has said the hub will help deepen its regional presence and support local innovation, entrepreneurship, skills development and digital infrastructure development.

Based in Dubai and operating in over 30 countries, Yango offers ride-hailing, delivery services and other digital offerings, including ecommerce, adtech and AI.

Present in 11 African countries, Yango has said the new regional headquarters mark a new chapter in its commitment to the continent, making the office its largest on the continent.

With around 200 employees already on the ground, the company plans to scale its local capabilities in the coming year.

Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group, said: “Africa was where our journey started — and today, we are investing in the future by making Abidjan home to our largest office in Africa — and the centre of our strategy for the continent.”

Shuleykosaid the company’s mission goes beyond providing digital services, however. As part of the strategy, the group has pledged to support digital transformation in Africa and beyond, scaling up its investment in local talent.

“By investing in talent and skills, especially among young people, we’re helping build the foundation for long-term innovation and self-sustaining digital ecosystems across Africa.”

Yango plans to expand its Yango Fellowship to a pan-African level, aiming to equip thousands of young people with future-oriented digital skills across its African markets.

Active in Côte d’Ivoire, the Yango Fellowship programme will establish Abidjan as its regional coordination and training centre for the continent.
