Wingu Africa and Raddy digital Solutions have announced a partnership that is set to provide facilities to support Tanzania’s digital economy.
Wingu has announced that, following the ongoing expansion of Wingu’s Tier III-standard facility, Raddy has extended its fibre network into the Wingu datacentre, located in Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania.
Wingu is a regional carrier-neutral data centre operator, while Raddy is a newly-licensed Tanzanian internet service provider (ISP).
Raddy is now leveraging Wingu’s carrier-neutral, high-availability platform to deliver fibre-based services to residential users, businesses, mobile network operators and other ISPs.
Wingu says that its datacentre facility houses direct connections with telcos such as Vodacom, Tigo, Halotel, and Liquid Intelligent Technologies. In addition to its facilities in Tanzania, the company has locations in Djibouti and Ethiopia.
On the partnership with Wingu, Ramadhani Mlanzi, CEO, Raddy said: “As a company rooted in Tanzania and backed by local manufacturing capabilities, this partnership strengthens our ability to serve enterprise clients with fast, reliable services and helps us scale alongside the country’s digital transformation.”
Wingu Africa said the arrival of Raddy enhances the former's network ecosystem, offering more choice for customers, improving route diversity, and enabling local interconnection between service providers.
Freddy Mrema, CM, Tanzania Sales at Wingu Africa, said Raddy's presence strengthened the connectivity landscape and gives Wingu clients more agility and access to local expertise.
