Wingu Africa, ADC partner to link East Africa to continental network

Wingu Africa, East African carrier-neutral data centre operator, is partnering with Africa Data Centres (ADC) to develop a platform linking key markets across the region.

According to the companies, the collaboration aims to connect Wingu’s East African hubs with ADC’s continental network, creating a unified platform for enterprises and service providers to scale seamlessly across the continent.

The alliance links Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Tanzania with ADC’s extensive footprint across South, West, and Central Africa.

By connecting their respective networks, the two companies are delivering a unified digital platform across some of Africa’s most crucial markets, creating reciprocal opportunities for both organisations, they said.

Additionally, ADC customers will be able to leverage Djibouti’s vital submarine cable gateway, Ethiopia’s rapidly expanding digital economy, and Tanzania’s fast-growing cloud and mobile services sector.

By extending its reach into these hubs, the Cassava Technologies subsidiary enhances its pan-African platform, strengthening its value proposition for enterprises, cloud providers, and content delivery networks seeking seamless expansion across the continent,the parties added.

For Wingu Africa, the collaboration links its East African hubs with ADC’s operations across seven additional markets, providing its customers with simplified access to new territories without the complexity of managing multiple providers.

Furthermore, ADC aims to secures a stronger foothold in East Africa through the alliance, opening the door to three of the region’s most strategically important markets.
