Vodacom Business Africa says it has taken a step into Brazil and increased its fixed-connectivity coverage to five continents.
The company says this trans-Atlantic connection has been made possible through the undersea South Atlantic Cable System, which is the first to directly link the African continent’s southern hemisphere with South America.
With the latest addition of Brazil, the extensive network reach now spans South America in addition to Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America, Vodacom Business Africa adds.

In June Vodacom Business partnered with digital Parks Africa, a provider of wholesale datacentres, to enhance support for clients’ off-premise datacentre requirements.
According to the companies, cloud has become the foundation for the new and agile business world, as it allows organisations to scale infrastructure as needed to support changing business priorities.
Through the alliance, business clients will now be able to benefit from subject matter expertise in the provision of datacentre managed services from both Vodacom Business and Digital Parks Africa reads a statement released by the companies.
