TikTok says it removed 820,552 videos in Kenya during the fourth quarter of 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines.

The company disclosed the figures in its latest transparency report, with nearly all the content identified and removed before being reported by users.

According to the Q4 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report released on Tuesday, 99.9% of the removed videos were detected proactively through automated systems, while 98.4% were taken down within 24 hours of being posted.

The figures highlight the scale of TikTok’s investment in automated content moderation systems, which the company says are designed to limit the spread of harmful material before it reaches large audiences.

Beyond video removals, TikTok also banned 108,752 accounts in Kenya during the same period for policy violations.

The majority of those accounts, 93,704, were suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13, below the platform’s minimum age requirement.

The enforcement action comes amid growing pressure on social media platforms to strengthen controls around underage access, particularly as regulators in Africa and other regions push for tighter child protection measures online.

Globally, TikTok removed 175.3 million videos in Q4 2025, representing about 0.5% of all content uploaded to the platform during the quarter.

Of that total, 152.6 million videos were identified and removed using automated detection tools. TikTok reported a 99.1% proactive removal rate globally, with 93.4% of flagged content removed within 24 hours. Around 8.4 million videos were later reinstated following human review.

The report covers enforcement categories including misinformation, hate speech, violent and graphic content, and other policy violations — areas that continue to attract regulatory scrutiny in several markets where TikTok operates.

TikTok said its moderation infrastructure combines automated systems with a global team of trust and safety professionals responsible for oversight and appeals handling.

The company publishes the Community Guidelines Enforcement Report quarterly as part of its broader transparency commitments.
