Steward Bank has launched Zimbabwe's first premium card programme in partnership with global payments firm, MasterCard.
The MasterCard rewards credit and debit cards will give customers access to a variety of privileges and rewards, notes a statement.
MasterCard cardholders will gain access to a range of exclusive offers on flights, accommodation, car hire, dining, retail, culture, sports and entertainment worldwide.
In addition, cardholders will have 24/7 access to dedicated service agents that can assist them in 72 languages, emergency card replacement, and a virtual payment concierge for card-not-present transactions.
"Nielsen recently noted that the Zimbabwean economy is fast recuperating after the economic contraction of the past decade, and that the number of affluent citizens is increasing. Accommodating the needs of current and future clients drives Steward Bank's decision to invite our premium customers to enjoy the benefits of world rewards MasterCard payment cards," said Lance Mambondiani, acting CEO at Steward Bank.
Charlton Goredema, vice president and area business head, MasterCard southern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands added, "The World Rewards credit and debit cards are premium banking products, which means that Steward Bank now offers a range of accounts and services to its clients whatever their financial status."
