SanDisk Corporation, an international provider of flash storage solutions, is expanding its reach into South Africa and countries in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) with the appointment of Mustek as an official distributor of SanDisk's range of storage and memory devices and solutions.

In a media release the company describes Mustek as one of South Africa's largest assemblers and distributors of personal computers and complementary information and communications technology products, and says this supports SanDisk's strategy to reach small and medium businesses across the region.

"We are incredibly proud to expand our product offering to South African customers with the addition of one of the world leaders in flash memory technology," says Kirk Toweel, SanDisk product manager at Mustek Limited.

"As the world of digital content grows exponentially every day, from mobile devices to data centres, we are ready to embrace this trend," says Tareq Husseini, regional sales director: Middle East & Africa at SanDisk.

"We are therefore looking forward to partnering with Mustek as an official distributor of our products in the region. SanDisk delivers the peace of mind that data is always available and reliable, even in the most extreme environments," he adds.

Mustek will distribute the complete range of SanDisk products, including: USB Flash drives, memory cards (including microSD and CompactFlash), Solid state drives (SSDs) for PCs and enterprise servers, and MP3 players.
