Samsung rolls out Note 4 across Africa

Electronics giant Samsung plans to launch its Galaxy Note4 device across East and West Africa during November and December this year.

Features of the device include a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) super AMOLED display, a stylus S Pen, a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera.

“Samsung Electronics is one of the leaders in mobile technology, and hence we are always listening to what the customer needs in terms of technology, functionality and design,” says Tristan Hall, the handheld products business unit head for Samsung Africa.

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung has a 45% share of the Middle East and Africa (MEA) smartphone market.

Huawei follows with a 10% share in the region, according to the IDC.
